[Idyllchat] kandersteg

We stayed in Kandersteg in Aug.05 and enjoyed meals at the Bernerhof also  
and the Hotel Victoria Ritter. The owner was very kind and let our four  
grandchildren watch a movie after lunch. This was during the horrendous rain  storms 
that washed out the railroad tracks for a few days. Our farewell dinner  was 
cancelled. The number of waterfalls that sprang up on the mountains was  
amazing. The Kander river overflowed and the rr station parking lot flooded.  They 
have a volunteer fire dept. and the horns sounded constantly. 
 
We love Switzerland and will be in Meiringin this September. Can hardly  
wait.
