[Idyllchat] Leiden in Winter

I would like to hear from anyone with experience in Leiden over the winter.  We are traveling as a family of 7 over the Christmas/New Year holiday and don't know what to expect this time of year.  We have already stayed in Leiden over the summer so we know the area.  Also wondering about the culture during the holidays and would like to know if there are any days where ALL stores/grocery stores are closed so I can adequately prepare.  Would love to hear from you - Jennifer
