[Idyllchat] HTML gobbledy gook in messages

I'm not sure what email client (program) you are using but it may be
something called Webmail. In any event, it seems to be reading HTML
files as straight ASCII text, which means either than it does not
recognize and interpret HTML messages or, more likely, the option
settings for the program are set incorrectly.
Look for a menu option in your mail program that says something like
Settings or Properties or Options and look at the various lists for
something referencing HTML and try different settings. Almost all
email programs recognize HTML, though some render it badly or
minimally, but any of those would mask the raw HTML that you are
seeing. If there is an encoding option, set it to MIME. Alternately,
there may be a "text only" option which would strip it.
Best I can do without knowing the program.
