Sue,

We were comfortable at Residenza Canali ai Coronari in Rome. Right by=20=

the Piazza Navona. Nothing fancy, by clean and comfortable with a nice=20=

breakfast. Very steep stairs however, and no elevator, if that is a=20
problem for you.

The ticket line is usually very long at the Colosseum, but here is the=20=

trick to bypassing it.

One ticket gets you into both the Colosseum and the Palatine hill area.=20=

If you go to the ticket booth at the Palatine hill, there is seldom a=20=

line there. Buy the ticket at this booth, then go back over to the=20
Colosseum and walk right past the ticket buying line to enter. We were=20=

there last July and the ticket seller at the Palatine hill gate was=20
napping it was so quiet. There are two gates for the Palatine, one=20
facing the Forum, and another south of the Colosseum, past the=20
Constantine Arch. You can buy the ticket at either.

Cheers,

Scott
