Is driving in Italy difficult..................good question............

My wife and I have driven in Italy, France, and Spain. =0D

Italy is easier than France and more difficult than Spain.=0D

Italian drivers tend to sit on you bumper and pass at any opportunity -
safely or not! They seem to enjoy this! We learned not to worry about the
other driver, to driver safely and if necessary simply pull off the highw=
ay
to let others pass. The signage seems to be fairly good and with a good
local map you can find your way anywhere. We planned our big city trips
carefully - trying to get our bearings before leaving and of course payin=
g
closer attention to directional signs. I don't recall that we ever got lo=
st

After a week of driving you suddenly discover that you are driving like t=

rest of the people on the road! We actually enjoyed the little car and th=

around northern Italy. We are interested in art particularly and wnat to
visit the usual art destinations for tourists plus some that are off the
