In October 2001 we spent 5 days at the Hotel Adornes ( http://www.hotels-belgium.com/brugge/adornes.htm ) and loved it. It's small (something like 18 rooms) and in a very old building on one of the canals, about a 5-minute walk from the main square; the bus stops just across the street. We had a "large double", which was the largest room we've ever had in Europe--third floor, beamed ceiling, gorgeous modern bath. There is a very nice breakfast room which serves a generous included breakfast. Most of the staff is fluent in English, and they are very helpful; when Air France moved our departure flight ahead by 6 hours and Belgium was having a railroad strike, the manager bent over backwards to help us figure out how to get back to Paris on time to make our flight. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Subject: [Idyllchat] Brugge hotel or B&B
Hi Idyllchatters,
I'm looking for a hotel or B&B in Brugge where we can stay for a few days after a Dutch Untour. I prefer a B&B because I'd like something where there's some interaction with the hosts, plus a little character! Anyone have suggestions?
Thanks,
Kay
