[Idyllchat] curious about flies in Meiringen vs. other towns...

I thought i'd ask this of the group. We were in Meiringen this summer
(early July), and noticed whenever we ate outside, flies were quite a
nuisance... We got used to this, then for the last part of our trip,
stayed up in Reuti, and it was a relief because we noticed there were
barely any flies bothering us when eating...
I was wondering if it was because Reuti was higher up, or a smaller
town..? Are the other area towns similar re: the flies?  just
curious...
