For springtime Idyllers, this could be fun. I have been to Morges
twice. It is amazing and might rival Holland. Good day trip from the
Heartland or Oberland. Take your camera!
Locarno and Morges say it with flowers
Locarno's promenade is more Mediterranean in appearance than alpine

The Italian-speaking town of Locarno in southern Switzerland will be
ushering in spring with its annual camellias festival from March 26 to 30.
It will be the turn of the town of Morges on the Swiss Riviera a week
later when its annual tulip festival begins.
The riot of floral colours bursting from Locarnos’s gardens invite
visitors to stroll along the town’s promenade.
Tea ceremonies and outdoor performances of classical and folk music will
help celebrate the arrival of spring.
From April 5 to May 11 in the Lake Geneva town of Morges, about 100,000
tulips, narcissi and hyacinths will be in bloom at the “Parc de
l’Indépendence”
