To draw back at least for now from the emotionalism and even tendency to =
get personal as regards the possibility of war against Iraq, we'd like =
to recommend Robert Kagan's recently published, Of Paradise and Power: =
America vs Europe in the New World Order. We who value the Untours =
program presumably want to promote better understanding between =
Europeans and ourselves. There are reasons for the different =
perspectives as Kagan argues. It probably does not benefit either us or =
the Europeans for them to regard us as out of control cowboys ready to =
shoot from the hip and us to regard them as appeasers ready to give up =
their capitals without a fight.
