A recent article in the TCS magazine caught my eye about prices in CH.
They are dealing mostly with personal transportation and are comparable
to AAA in the USA.

With 1977 as a base of 100%, some prices were evaluated.
The salaries have gone up 106%
Train fares have risen 97%
Consumer prices are up 80%
There are 80% more cars than 1977
Gasoline is almost 40% more expensive

Wonder how that compares with the USA?
