Eastern LINCS is offering the Integrating Computer Technology into the

This on-line course guides adult education and literacy
practitioners through ways to integrate computer technology into the

software, use of the Internet, LINCS (Literacy Information aNd
Communication System), and how to develop computer based learning
activities. Examples of lessons to use and valuable Web sites will be
provided. Participants will be required to complete quizzes, take an
Internet scavenger hunt, create an acceptable use policy, and develop a
final lesson plan.

In order to register for the on-line course, you must obtain a Log
In/username and password for the e-campus system, the new professional
development registration system in Pennsylvania. Once you have obtained
a Log In/username and password, you will use it anytime you wish to
register for one of our on-line courses. We recommend that you obtain
this Log In immediately so you can register for the course. Please
follow the steps below to determine if you have already have a log in or
need to acquire one.

****For people in Pennsylvania from an ABLE funded program who are
already in the e-data system:

e-data staff and volunteer tutors will need to contact their agency
administrator or assigned data entry personnel to obtain their
temporary, initial e-campus logon credentials consisting of a permanent
User ID and a temporary, initial password.

e-data staff and volunteer tutors should logon to the e-campus system as
soon as possible after receiving their initial logon credentials to
create their permanent professional development registration account by
following the steps listed below:

Using a computer with Internet access, navigate to e-campus at
https://www.ecampus.ed.state.pa.us
Click the "Change Demographics" link at the bottom of the screen to
begin the process of setting up your permanent account. Once your
password has been changed successfully and your e-mail address has been
entered, your permanent account is in place. Your permanent e-campus
password will be known only by you and should never be shared with any
other person. You may update your e-mail address or change your password
as needed using the same process. If any of your e-data profile
information is incorrect, please notify your agency administrator or
designated e-data data entry staff person.

****Non-ABLE-funded registrants or those from an ABLE-funded initiative
who do not have a file in e-data should:

Professional development participants who do not have an e-data profile
for whatever reason whether because they are not affiliated with a
Pennsylvania ABLE-funded agency or because they work for a statewide
initiative or leadership project and do not have a direct impact on
adult students, will not have a registration account created for them
automatically. These registrants will need to request a new account
on-line through e-campus. Using a computer with Internet access,
navigate to e-campus at https://www.ecampus.ed.state.pa.us
Click the "Log In" button on the bottom of the left navigation menu.
Screen instructions will provide details for the use of the system.
Following the establishment of your permanent e-campus professional
development registration account, you may begin using the new system to
register for professional development activities.

Once you receive your account information, please return to the e-campus
system and register for the course https://www.ecampus.ed.state.pa.us.
